"Comanche has unlimited ability and picture-perfect form!"

- Meredith

Comanche, who was called Coupido before coming to Thedinghausen, had raised quite some attention as a talented 8-year-old before he was sold to Artemis Farms in late 2014. Comanche was originally ridden by Eduardo Menezes and then competed in his first 3* Grand Prixs under the guidance of Ashford Farm's Angelica Augusstson-Zanotelli.

In 2015, soon after his arrival in northern Germany, Comanche, who is named after Jim and Kristy Clark's Monohull super yacht, travelled to Wellington with his stablemates to do his first shows under Meredith's saddle. It was there that he competed in his first big Grand Prixs, where he did well finishing 5th in a 4* Grand Prix. Back in Europe the gray gelding, who is known for his precise jumping technique, finished 4th in Hagen's 4* Grand Prix and 6th in Nörten-Hardenberg.

His first top placing at the highest level came in early 2016, when he placed second in one of the Winter Equestrian Festival's demanding 5* Grand Prixs.  Since then with numerous top placings, Chief has proven himself a consistent competitor at the 1.60m level.

In early 2017 Markus took over the reins of Comanche and already had fantastic results, including a 3rd place finish in the CSI4* Grand Prix in Hagen and three clear rounds in the CSIO5* Nations Cup of Falsterbo.
